Luzerne County Historical Society Presents Annual Colonial Harvest Fest on October 7th!
The Luzerne County Historical Society will present its Colonial Harvest Festival at the Denison House, 35 Denison Street, Forty Fort, on Sunday October 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event presents examples of the type of work produced by artisans and craftsmen in the Wyoming Valley during the 1790s when Col. Nathan and Betsy Denison build their home on the “Great Road” - now Wyoming Avenue. From children’s arts and crafts to rifle firing, colonial soldier’s campaign outfitting to needlework, visitors can be transported back to the activities of harvest time during the late 1700s.
